RFID : HAJJ Pilgrimage tagging

 

Together with Senstech RFID, FEC is also involved in the investigation of RFID technology to enhance Hajj Pilgrims experience. Working with USM, Pernec and Ummul Qura University, Makkah, UHF RFID was used in a cluster of pilgrims originating from Penang Malaysia.

The RFID enables identification and verification of pilgrims’ identity without physical interaction. This in turn churns trial real-time data being collected at various location for various usage that is most useful for traffic planning, crowd control, pilgrims routing.
